Simulationof Transformer Noise Controlling Based on an Equivalent Sound Source Model
It is very important to study the acoustic radiation model of transformer for the noise radiation prediction in substation.. In this paper, a 110kv outdoor substation with noise barriers was studied, and the Sound Pressure Level(SPL) and frequency spectrum about transformer noise barrier
were measured abundantly. Utilizing equivalent source method, each surface of the transformer is equivalent to 9 point sound sources to build a multipoint equivalent acoustic model. This model is established by employing the LMS virtual.lab software, and also the sound radiation is calculated
based on the sound line method. A reasonable number of equivalent sound sources is determined by comparing the simulations and the measured values, and the most difference are within 1.5dB between the simulation value and the measured one . It is proved that the equivalent source method of
the transformer is applicable to the outdoor substation with sound barriers for forecasting noise radiation.
