Experiences and lessons learned from solar energy facility post-construction noise studies

Solar energy facilities are being constructed throughout the United States in a push for more power generation from renewable energy sources. These facilities have solar array inverters and substation transformers that generate noise. This paper discusses challenges and lessons learned from several solar energy project post-construction noise studies, including evaluating compliance with regulatory limits, validating noise modeling procedures, and inverter noise mitigation.
