The church of Santuari del Miracle, located in the Catalan region of Solsonès, Lleida, is a unique barroque church in Catalonia that hosts Baroque music performances, like the festival Espurnes Barroques. However, according to the musicians and the audience, it is too reverberant to play this style of music. The objective of this work is to examine the current acoustic performance of the church and to propose acoustic treatment strategies that are respectful of this unique heritage building. Impulse response measurements are first performed following ISO 3382-1 standards, using Odeon software to assess reverberation time (T30), Early Decay Time (EDT), Clarity (C50), and Definition (D50). Simulations are next performed using Odeon. They are used to refine the smallest perceptible differences from the measured data and to examine potential treatment strategies. The proposed solution consists of elements based on variable acoustics that can be easily hidden or removed, thus preserving the original acoustics of this heritage building.
