Dynamic and noise characteristics of the helical gear system by helix angles using the transfer matrix
This study investigated the effects of the dynamic and noise characteristics on the helix angle due to the axial excitation of helical gears. The helical gear system was modeled by a shaft-bearing-circular plate with helical gears. The nonlinear equation of motion for helical gears
was linearized to an equation with harmonic frequencies. The transfer matrix with harmonic frequencies for the axial vibration of helical gears was used. The dynamic governing equation of the mathematical model due to the axial excitation of helical gears were formulated by the transfer matrix.
The harmonic component contribution on the dynamic and noise characteristics of the helical gear system by the helix angle was analyzed.
