Free Content Use of PRINCE2 as a Project Management Approach for Spatial Audio Developments

Download Article:
PRINCE2 is a well-established standard for the management and control of projects. It has the advantage of being adaptable to several types and scales of projects according to their complexity. This paper discusses the implementation of PRINCE2 as a reference approach to organize and administrate spatial audio developments in which several stakeholders are involved. For this, an international collaboration sponsored by the Newton Fund Grant has been selected and the project has been shaped according to PRINCE2 criteria. It is shown how this methodology provides an appropriate platform for the project, which allows to control product development, optimizing human and financial resources through well-defined stages. By the work flow defined by the standard, a better articulation between the different departments has been achieved leading to an efficient management of cost, timescale, quality, risk, scope and benefits.
