Free Content A Study on Mid-Long Term Performance Management Methods of 2-Layer Low Noise Pavement

In previous studies, field studies have shown that the performance of 2-layer low noise pavement has decreased based upon duration of time and frequency of use. Therefore 2-layer low noise pavement needs proper maintenance management plans in term of mid-long period time. This study suggested performance management methods of 2-layer low noise pavement for mid-long period time. The performance management method suggested in this study is performance-based contracts in which contractors are responsible for constant noise reduction effect during certain period time. Through this method, we expect more than 20% in budget savings for pavement maintenance.
