European noise policy and its link to global noise policy
In view of the keen interest in noise policy in Europe and overseas, a workshop on European noise policy and its links to global noise policy was held during EURONOISE 2006 in Tampere, Finland, on May 30 and 31. The workshop was organized by William W. Lang and Tjeert ten Wolde. The
first day of the workshop was dedicated to environmental noise. On the second day, sessions on occupational noise and product noise were held. In this article, the programs for each session are presented. These are followed by introductory material presented by William W. Lang, and seven papers
on product noise are summarized.
