Free Content Approaches to teaching in environmental noise sciences

The management of environmental (or community) noise is an important although often underestimated issue in many developed and developing countries. In recognition of this fact , the World Health Organization has published new WHO Guidelines on Community Noise and underlined the importance of considering the guidelines in the framework of environmental noise management (ENM). A summary of the guidelines was published in this magazine in 2000 March. The European Union (EU) has under taken the task or addressing and harmonizing noise management in the European region.
