This is the fifteenth of fifteen parts that present illustrations of noise control principles and practices. The illustrations in this article appeared first in a book published in Sweden by the Swedish Work Environment Fund. The role rigidity and weight play in thick walls is illustrated. Also illustrated are that light double walls provide good insulation and that double walls should have few connections.
