Progress in building acoustics
The latest trends in developing new prediction and design techniques in architecture and building acoustics require the utilization of mathematical modelling and computer calculations. The process requires an extensive knowledge of the acoustic parameters related to the sound field
generated from the source side, the propagation path, and the sound field on the receiver side. This can be obtained by theoretical modelling, but in many cases it is more significant to obtain this information experimentally. Therefore, precision measurement techniques have become a crucial
component of the design and prediction process.
