This study introduces an experimental investigation into the vibration response for spur gear transmission with damping particles, focusing on the influence of the hole parameters, such as the hole diameter, the radius of the hole center, and the hole number. First, the experimental device is established, corresponding to the initial parameters of the technology hole on the gear pair. A group of gear pairs is then produced, with adjustments made to the hole diameter, the radius of the hole center, and the hole number. The radial vibration of the gearbox system is collected via the Sim center SCADA system and analyzed by the Sim center TESTLAB software to compare the system’s responses between the original and modified designs. The results reveal a significant improvement in radial vibration, with changes in the hole diameter, the radius of the hole center, and the hole number leading to reductions of 71.58%, 67.37%, and 73.87%, respectively, compared to the original design.
