
Personal Reaction to Daily Noise Exposure
The authors investigated and classified the daily noise exposure of typical city residents in Japan. Classification depended upon a person's profession, living environment, method of transit, activity, and so on. This article examines the reaction of people to environmental noise in
relation to their noise exposure. Data from 602 subjects are examined; subjects were chosen from three Japanese cities of different size – Sendai, Tokyo and Nagoya.
