Following up on "Alarming sound: A case study of noise in an emergency department"

Building on "Alarming Sound: A Case Study on Noise in an Emergency Ward," this follow-up study aims to explore the outcomes of a redesigned floorplan on the Jeroen Bosch Hospital in the city of Den Bosch (NL), it's emergency department staff experiences and workplace dynamics focusing on sound. Leveraging both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, the study seeks to investigate anticipated changes in staff satisfaction, communication efficiency, and the overall work environment following the implementation of spatial modifications. While the outcomes of these interventions are yet to be determined, the research aims to contribute to the existing body of knowledge on the impact of physical workspace changes on healthcare delivery and staff well-being. This research aims to help develop healthcare environments that improve working conditions and better patient care outcomes.
