The emotional restorativeness of soundscapes, akin to the healing effects of natural green spaces, can induce recovery from life-cycle emotional and cognitive-related disorders. A digital therapy program that supplements medication was developed through soundscape experiences in a multi-user VR environment and evaluated psychophysiologically. Initially, the program provided natural environment-based role-playing for the treatment of children with ADHD and utilized soundscape audio-visual content for adolescents and soundwalk content as a physical activity program for emotional care and cognitive function improvement in patients with cognitive disorders. The effectiveness of the digital therapeutic under development was verified through clinical symptom assessment tools and changes in psychological and physiological responses.
