
Acoustic wave focusing using holographic acoustic metalens and its optimization using gaussian process
In this study, we present experimental and numerical results of an efficient acoustic focusing apparatus using a series of impedance-varying acoustic metasurfaces. The impedance-varying surfaces are formed by changing the cylindrical intrusions on the metasurface, comprising a pattern
that directs the acoustic beam to a desired angle. We show design parameters that play an important role in the focus points, focal area, and focus efficiency and verify this through experiment and multi-physics simulation approach. In addition, we show the prediction and optimization process
of the acoustic metalens using the Gaussian process.
