Three-dimensional sound field reproduction generally requires more loudspeakers as the arrival direction of the desired sound increases. In particular, to reproduce the sound field in the vertical direction, the number of loudspeakers is significantly increased. In this study, we propose a three-dimensional sound field reproduction method that use the sound reflections from the floor surface to reduce the number of loudspeakers in the vertical direction. First, the sound field driven by each loudspeaker is modeled by considering the primary reflection. Second, based on the pressure matching method with the loudspeaker sound field models, the sound field is reproduced from the unplaced direction of the loudspeakers using the primary reflected sounds. Via simulation experiments, we evaluate the reproduction accuracy of the proposed method in the horizontal and elevation planes.
