Visualization of scattered sound field by enclosing microphone array based on sparse equivalent source method
Sound field visualization is useful for understanding complicated sound fields. The visualization of direct and scattered sound fields separately is useful for designing acoustic scattering objects. Numerical simulation methods, such as the boundary element method, are employed to obtain
the scattered sound field. However, obtaining accurate boundary conditions for these simulations is difficult. In this paper, we propose a method for estimating the scattered sound field by simultaneously modeling the direct and scattered sound fields using the sparse equivalent source method.
In the proposed method, we can only visualize the scattered sound field using equivalent sources. In simulation experiments, we evaluated the estimation accuracy of the proposed method.
