Application of 3D acoustic scene analysis using sound arrival direction at Noi Bai International Airport in Vietnam
This paper discusses improvement of 3D acoustic scene analysis based on sound arrival direction for airport noise monitoring as well as illustrates a result of application using noise observations of unattended noise monitoring at four noise monitors installed near the both ends of
two closed-parallel runways at Noi Bai International Airport in Vietnam. The static analysis method visualized the noise level distribution in the focused direction by varying the analysis time. Estimation of sound source movement trajectories not only for landing paths but also for takeoff
paths was also realized. The result suggests that the proposed method is useful for identifying noise contributions of various sound sources including aircraft take-off and landing operations aircraft ground operation on the apron and taxiway.
