Four decades ago, Marehalli (M. G.) Prasad and his advisor Malcolm Crocker published a series of advanced studies on exhaust systems. In a series of highly referenced papers, they successfully bridged the gap between theory and engineering practice. This paper reviews and attempts to
contextualize that research.
