Free Content Tutorial on Sound Level Meters: Introduction to Sound Level Meters and Measurement Parameters

A Sound Level meter maybe called upon to measure a varied property of the sound pressure, depending on the task, standard, or requirement. This presentation will look at these varied measurement parameters and their likely applications. Starting with the characteristics of a signal, we will show the relations ships of parameters, Fast, Slow, Equivalent Level, along with the frequency weighting that make sound measurement applicable to humans, and our assessment of noise.
