
Revision of the guidance manual for the measurement and evaluation of aircraft noise in Japan
The INCE/Japan has been performing an investigation on the way to measure and evaluate aircraft noise around airports for several years, through data analysis and questionnaire survey, in order to enhance the contents and utility of the Guidance Manual for the Measurement and Evaluation
of Aircraft Noise, published by the Japanese Ministry of the Environment. This paper makes a brief review of the history to develop and revise the manual as well as introduces the summary of major revisions in the latest edition, which is scheduled to be published in the spring of 2020.
