Sound absorption of external intubation Helmholtz resonance structure

The sound absorption performance of the external intubation Helmholtz resonance structure was investigated. The external intubation method effectively reduces the panel thickness of the Helmholtz resonance. Finite element simulation was used to calculate the soundabsorption coefficient of the structure. The results show that the sound absorption peak of the external intubation structure shifts downwards with the increasing of the external intubationlength. The acoustic impedance of the external intubation structure is slightly different from the Helmholtz resonance of the same size. This means that the external stepped structurechanges the acoustic impedance of the Helmholtz resonance structure.
