Sound Insulation Performance of Laminated Glass according to Temperature
The laminated glasses were used at the various industry field, like as front window of vehicle, window of building, soundproof barrier, etc. So, these glasses have to bear the various environmental conditions, especially low and high temperatures. In this study, sound insulation performance
of laminated glass was investigated in accordance with temperature on the specimen. The test was conducted according to measurement methods and conditions in ISO 10140 series with common laminated glass 12.76 mm (clear glass 6 mm + PVB film 0.76 mm + clear glass 6 mm). During the measurement,
the temperature in the receiving room and on the surface of specimen was recorded. As a results, the sound insulation performance of laminated glass is increasing as higher temperature. Especially, sound reduction index has high correlation with temperature at over 800 Hz frequency. Furthermore,
the other glasses with laminated materials should be compared as surface temperature.
