Countermeasure against floor impact sound by heavy impact source of box floor structure
The purpose of this study is a practical countermeasure against heavy floor impact sound for small-scale nursery schools. As a countermeasure, the box floor structure is constructed on the existing concrete slab to reduce the heavy-weight floor impact sound. In general, unlike the light-weight
floor impact sound, the heavy-weight floor impact sound depends on the thickness of concrete slab and the effect of floor finishing structure is small. However, in this report, the box floor structure with sufficient vibration isolation and sound insulation measures was able to improve the
heavy-weight floor impact sound insulation performance. In addition, the proposed box floor structure is as thin as 125 mm including the vibration control rubber. The size of the box floor structure is 600 x 1200 mm per unit. In addition, it is considered that the workability is also good
because the vibration control rubber is placed and the box floor is placed on it. In this report, we report the results of an experimental study focusing on the number of vibration control rubber and the mass inserted into the box floor by connecting two units.
