Evaluation of tire-pattern noise for better impression
The sensation caused by tire pattern noise on a smooth road surface is due to the existence of peaky frequency components and flat pedestal components above the background noise profile on a frequency domain. In general, the effect is more for peaky components than for the flat pedestal
components. Here, the effect of peaky components on annoyance will be treated.
