Natural parks constitute an area of conservation of the biotic and abiotic environment which, in turn, can constitute a space of leisure and relaxation for its visitors. However, a negative impact on this type of ecosystem can be generated due to these uses. Road traffic is the main noise source in urban environments, but it can also be a significant noise source in natural parks. Roads used to be the main means of access. The type and condition of the pavement, speed, type and flow of vehicles are characteristics that influence environmental noise levels. However, noise pollution is not a priority research factor in some of these parks. This paper presents a study of the impact of road traffic noise in Monfragüe National Park. For this purpose, acoustic measurements were taken at different points of tourist interest. The results show the effect of the passage of vehicles and the type of pavement on noise levels, which in turn can have a negative effect on visitor satisfaction and fauna.
