Numerical Simulation and Experiment Research of Lower Arm B
Lower arm B(LAB) is an important part in the vehicle, which bears spring load and damper load or as a stable bar in some cases. Study LAB's dynamic performance will give sight to control noise and vibration in cabin for the vehicle designer, because LAB make a lot of contributions on
the suspension assembly which will bring transferred noise and vibration to the cabin. In this paper, the FEA model of LAB is updated ,first, through testing the LAB's dynamic performance, then the modal test is improved further by using the pretest analysis results. At last, the natural frequency,
damping of LAB is gained for further study in the suspension assembly.

The Noise-Con conference proceedings are sponsored by INCE/USA and the Inter-Noise proceedings by I-INCE. NOVEM (Noise and Vibration Emerging Methods) conference proceedings are included. All NoiseCon Proceedings one year or older are free to download. InterNoise proceedings from outside the USA older than 10 years are free to download. Others are free to INCE/USA members and member societies of I-INCE.
