Open Station Vehicle Noise Performance Assessment and Improvement Using SEA
The objective of this study is to predict the open station vehicle noise at operator ear location using Statistical Energy Analysis; and once the correlation is achieved, look for the options of reducing the sound levels as well as improve the speech clarity at operator and passenger
location. The necessary lab tests were conducted for getting the inputs required for the SEA analysis. The SEA methodology was efficient to correlate with test results and it also helped to arrive to the solution which analytically shown significant reduction in Sound Pressure Level (SPL)
at operator ear location with improving speech clarity.
