Free Content A Review of Offshore Noise Levels

This paper reviews and summarizes the published information about offshore noise levels since 1972. Our review has been limited to publications in the English language. Generally speaking, the offshore regions of the world have used different criteria. Noise levels, usually at 3 ft, for operating equipment are presented in tabular form. Noise control treatments were identified as early as the mid-1970s.
