Acoustically Induced Vibration Questionnaire
In 2017, CSTI surveyed engineers around the world about solutions they incorporated into their analysis of Acoustical Induced Vibration (AIV). We were interested in whether they used the Carucci-Mueller (CM) Lw vs D, CM Lw vs D/t, of the D/t2 Nishigushi or CSTI proposed guidelines.
In addition, we queried about the use of downstream silencers such as dissipative silencers, reactive silencers, or the more sophisticated duct resonator array. Finally, we asked about the use of damping treatments. This paper presents the results of this survey.
