A preliminary survey on the effects of noise and reverberation on the hearing of the elderly

In this paper, subjective perception on the speech, spatial, and qualities of hearing for more than 60 years old people was obtained through the questionnaire survey. At the meantime, the effect of noise and reverberation on the speech communication of old people in the elderly living space was also investigated through the questionnaire survey. The relationship for the results of the questionnaire was analyzed and the effects of noise and reverberation environment on the hearing of the elderly were discussed.
