As the upgrade of home appliance products, big suction and low noise are both requirement of the consumers. Currently, the general method of reducing noise of range hood is passive method, such as optimization of centrifugal fan and volute, vibration isolation of motor-fan system, or adoption of sound absorbing materials. However, although these passive methods can reduce the high frequency noise effectively, but the low-frequency and broadband noise around 100Hz~500Hz is very difficult to eliminate. Meanwhile, the traditional passive noise reduction method may increase resistance and reduce the air volume of range hood. As improvement, the Active Noise Control (ANC) technology is adopted to reduce the 100Hz~500Hz low frequency noise of range hood effectively. Total noise can be reduced 3.1dB with ANC.
