A pulsing sphere in a perfect acoustic waveguide is considered, we employ the image method and the translational addition theorems for spherical wave functions to investigate the acoustic radiation from the sphere. The method of Element Radiation Superposition Method is extended from infinite free field to the oceanic acoustic waveguide with regards to the shortcomings of low efficiency of analytical method, thus a numerical modeling method for solving three-dimensional acoustic radiation problems in perfect ocean acoustic waveguide is established. Subsequently, the field pressure as a function of frequencies is calculated and discussed. The results show that the numerical method is in good agreement with the analytical solution. With the accuracy guaranteed, the proposed numerical method can greatly improve the calculation speed.
