An automatic loudness control method in MDCT domain
During the transmission of audio signals, factors such as audio standards, transmission conditions and the switch of different audio sources would lead to the fluctuation of the amplitudes of the audio signals and the inconsistencies of the perceptual loudness. This paper proposed an
automatic loudness control method in the Modified Discrete Cosine Transform (MDCT) domain, which was optimized by updating the perceptual loudness in the different Bark level scales in psychoacoustics. Experimental results show that this algorithm can improve the consistent perceptual loudness
of audio signals and significantly increase the stability of the audio signal.
