In 2016, a round robin measurement campaign of the apparent dynamic stiffness pointed out large variation coefficients. The poor accuracy in the measurement results was attributed to the lack of relevant and adequate prescriptions for the sample preparation and for the measurement conditions in the standard EN 29052-1. This paper aims to demonstrate the uncertain effect of the plaster layer preconized by this standard as shown by the round robin measurements and to clarify his application.
