Demand of design low noise and vibration products become higher in recent years. However, it is difficult to manage vibration propagation from the beginning of design, because variety of factors influence interactively. This research aim on development of low-vibration design method using vibration energy propagation analysis such as Statistical Energy Analysis and Structural Intensity (SEA and SI). For the first step of the research, the concept of two step design, perspective and detailed design is proposed in this report.Perspective design means based on wave theory and it grasps global tendency of the structure with SEAOn the other hand, detailed design more focus on modal shape to reduce vibration at specific frequencies with SI.To demonstrate the feasibility of proposed method, vibration energy propagation analysis of coupled two flat plates are performed through numerical simulation. Correlation between thickness of each plate and vibration energy flow are examined. As a result, vibration flow tendency that propagation from thick to thin plate is easier rather than propagation from thin to thick.
