Free Content Noise Impact of Fitness Activities in High Rise Buildings

The paper discusses noise impact from fitness activities in a high rise multifamily concrete building. The presented project will discuss noise complaints from residences living several floors above the fitness center. The project is located in Washington DC. The complaints from residents are related to impact noise from fitness room class activities. Onsite sound measurements were taken and analyzed for noise source. Noise mitigation solutions were provided and implanted by the owner.
