Download Article:
The paper is focused on a recent approach developed in the context of control theory by the authors. The method is based on a variational technique of Pontriagyn-type, but distinct form it because considering a special class of objective functions. This restriction permits to formulate a variational approach that is free form final time conditions, a the beneficial effect able to produce a feedback control. The basic theory of the method is presented together with applications to car semi-active dampers.
