topics, but this was the first to focus on the latest developments in U.S. noise policy. The format of the workshop was to have presentations by a panel of specialists from government and from the private sector followed by an open discussion. Each of the panelists presented a short overview
of recent actions in his areas of expertise, with special emphasis on those actions related to noise policy at the Federal, state, and municipal levels.",
