The noise assessment in outdoor situations follows in most countries the procedures described in the ISO 1996 series of standards (Environmental Noise). For a given immission location, the A-weighted continous sound level value caused by a type of noise source is evaluated for a specific evaluation time, and if necessary, supplements are applied to into account particular disturbance effects, such as the impulsive noise, relevant for racket sports such as tennis, padel or pickleball. This contribution presents a method for the calculation of the impact of pickleball activities based on the calculation of the LAFT,5s (Maximum A-weighted sound pressure level during a 5 seconds period) and its implementation in commercial prediction software.", }
