Measurements of the sound reduction index R is realized with these boards. Two configurations is tested in laboratory, one configuration of a perforated plasterboard ceiling suspended on concrete floor and a second configuration of perforated plasterboard lining wall fixed on 16cm concrete wall. Following this characterization, a semi-empirical model to estimate the attenuation index is proposed. The perforated board is simulated by considering an heterogeneous board of gypsum and holes related by the perforation rate. The prediction model is compared with the measurement with a good accuracy. Finally, after extrapolations of sound reduction index is proposed for other perforation rates.", }
