Three sets of five specimens were prepared and subjected to accelerated corrosion conditions. The different times of exposure allowed to attain unlike damage conditions in every sample of each set. The onset of damage was monitored through the evolution of the accumulated Intensity Modulation Ratio (R) and crack width measurements. The accumulated values of the Intensity Modulation Ratio were used to study the effect of different testing factors (cover depth, corrosion rate or amplitude of the input pump signal) and increased monotonically clearly discriminating the different damage levels. These observations point to the possibility of stablishing damage thresholds to detect cracking using nonlinear ultrasonic (NLU) techniques.", }
