Lack of the ICE noise occultation, the noise of hydraulic piston pump becomes prominent. It is significant to decrease the noise of hydraulic piston pump for improving the driving comfort. The present study detailed investigates the simulation method for modal and noise calculation of the hydraulic piston pump. The noise prediction of hydraulic pump agrees well with measurements on the distribution of sound pressure vs. frequency. According to modal and noise distribution characteristics, the housing structure of hydraulic piston pump has been optimized to shift the modal frequency and decrease the noise. The simulation data proves that optimized hydraulic pump housing has great potential to decrease the noise. Compared with the original hydraulic pump housing, the sound pressure overall lever of optimized hydraulic piston pump is validated to decrease by 2-3dBA.", }
