abstract = "In the study, a broader approach to urban planning was explored, surpassing traditional noise analyses that often neglect subjective aspects. The focus centered on the soundscape of the Vai-Vai Samba School, a cultural landmark in S{\~a}o Paulo's Bixiga neighborhood, renowned for
its Afro-Brazilian heritage since its establishment in 1930. Following ISO 12913 guidelines, measurements of sound pressure level, binaural analyses for psychoacoustic parameters, and interviews with attendees were conducted to comprehend sound sources, perceived quality, and perceptions of
the surrounding sound environment. By correlating quantitative and qualitative data, the interaction between objective and subjective analyses was examined. This study offers valuable insights for urban planning, underlining the significance of considering history and culture when addressing
soundscape matters.",
