We investigate both experimentally and theoretically how the coupling between two resonators, with different quality factors, can generate asymmetric lineshapes of the transmission, leading to the opaque counter-part of the low frequency Enhanced Acoustic Transmission (EAT). Moreover, we study the angular dependence of its transmission properties, and demonstrate that such an opacity band, due to deep subwavelength features of cavities, avoids diffraction that have been proved to be the main limitation of omnidirectional capabilities of locally resonant perforated plates.", }
