This solution often becomes cumbersome and complicated as far as connections, security and size are concerned, resulting in inaccurate measurements. A more appropriate solution is needed for a stand-alone system capable of long term noise measurements where physical access on site may be limited and results are needed on a regular basis. Users desire the availability of real-time data, alarms, and web interface for condition awareness of unattended systems. A new solution can be realized with a dedicated instrument including choices of appropriate power supplies, remote communication options and flexibility in what is measured all in a single weather protected unit. This more convenient system becomes an obvious choice and overcomes all the disadvantages of a sound level meter based option. A solution now exists that can measure all the required parameters that are needed for almost every potential environmental noise problem that needs to be monitored. This improved solution enables access to real-time data through web interface and offers alarm notifications. An integrated system with source recognition and directional information helps user to locate the true source of the intrusive noise.", }
