As a result, the lateral attenuation depends not only on the weather condition but also on the characteristics of ground surface on propagation path, and it is found that it may not be consistent with existing equations of lateral attenuation in some cases. In a previous report, we examined the results of short-term measurements carried out around SENDAI Airport surrounded with flat and uniform fields on the side of the runway. As a result, the lateral attenuation increased smoothly with distance, and it was found that it was in good agreement with the existing lateral attenuation equations. Therefore, we carried out another short-term measurement at KAGOSHIMA Airport with including non-flat terrain around the airport and ITAMI Airport in the city area. In this paper, we report about differences in lateral attenuation at the four airports by adding these results.", }
