Exhausting the heat generated by the servers can create noise-related complaints from neighbors. This case study looks at one facility using 70 exhaust fans that caused complaints up to two miles away. This paper discusses the mitigation options considered, and focuses on the effectiveness of using replacement blades inside the existing fan housing. A comparison of the new fan manufacturer's predicted noise level data, lab test data, and measurements after the new blades were installed will be presented.", }
