However, it is not easy to measure the aircraft noise at many locations with the official test method. Therefore, INM(Integrated noise model), which is a software program to draw aircraft noise map, is usually used to estimate the aircraft noise. Using the estimated results from the INM, a decision of the damaged area due to aircraft noise is made by establishing the value of the WECPNL for the compensation criteria. The compensation is made only for areas where they are contained in the specified WECPNL contour line. However, residents who are not contained for compensation frequently complain about criteria of compensation. Therefore, three new criteria are proposed in this study and compared with the existing criterion. Firstly, the compensation region is determined along the terrain boundaries. Secondly, a method of setting the 100 m thickness of the WECPNL line is proposed. Finally, a method of considering the 1 WECPNL modeling error in the INM noise prediction map is proposed.", }
