abstract = "Getting to know what kind of sound event is memorable by people, and makes good or bad impression to people is an important point for designing and managing soundscape. In the present research, the data of questionnaire that is carried out in the coursework of acoustics is analyzed
to solve the problem. A question is asked to 128 students in the first time of the coursework. It requests students to write down all sound events that they can remember from the time when they wake up to the moment. And it also requests them to evaluate the sound events. They are evaluated
in the three category of "good", "bad" or "no evaluation". As a result, 10.2 sound events per person are declared on average, and 2.7 events are evaluated as "good", 2.8 are "bad" and 4.7 are "no evaluation". Furthermore, there are
some sound events that are evaluated as "good", in spite of having evaluation as "bad" on the other hand. These results suggest the necessity of paying attention to the cognitive aspect to the sound events by people for designing and managing soundscape.",
